Just received the following:
An email was sent to 223hrc, a fellow CaScaper, concerning the cancellation and EM.TV. He asked 223hrc to post it to various boards, so I'm helping her out. Here's what he had to say:
"I'm still reeling from the cancellation, am touched beyond words by the outpouring of love and support from all the fans. Very importantly, I want to make it crystal clear to everyone that despite what Anthony said, EM-TV is only a tangental player in the demise of Farscape. The Sci-Fi Channel chose not to pick up the series for season 5, period. To say that they want the show is completely false. Please don't let the real story get clouded. Writing letters to EM-TV in German won't hurt, but it shouldn't be the focus of anyone who is moved to protest."
In other news, Maayan and myself have been thinking about something nice, supportive and immediate that we could do for the cast and crew, something at once representative, unintrusive and practical. Mail, faxes and e-mails sent to Homebush are wonderful, and I'm sure they're getting plenty, but at the same time, we don't want to drown them under a lot of paper, the way we are drowning Sci Fi, and we don't know what the situation is at the office.
Here's what we came up with: we have set up a central, dedicated Yahoo! account to which fans can e-mail messages of support.
The login and password for this account have been forwarded to the cast and crew, to read the e-mails at their leisure. This is one way to express your love and support directly to the people to whom it most matters. Please, try to restrain yourself to one message each. The size of the account is limited.
The messages can be sent to CrackersDoMatter@yahoo.com.
