Well now...it's the first of a new month, and time to feature four more books for your approval, or disapproval as the case may be.

Just think. This is our twelfth month to do this, and the suggestions and discussions here in this forum have produced lots of good reading and interesting conversation. We've changed the format a bit, so that newbies coming in will be able to find things more easily, but for the most part, everything is the same. Hope you enjoy these new selections.

"The Surgeon" by Tess Gerritson

"Amber Beach" by Elizabeth Lowell

"Xenocide" by Orson Scott Card

"Dune: House Atreiedes" by Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson

Glad to hear it. You will really enjoy them both...at least I did. The other two are really great, too.

BTW, Morgaine, I'll be out of town all of next week, so if you could look in and keep everything going, it would be great.

Hi Paula and Morgaine!

Are the books all fiction? I must confess that I'm kind of saturated as a reader for the past few years.

For a very long period of time, all I would read were books on metaphysics. (Interspersed with Clan of the Cave Bear books, I loved them!)

So lately, most of my reading is comprised of TV Guide and People magazine! I got so tired of Deepak Chopra and some of the other metaphysical writers...in fact I have about 15 books on the subject that I haven't been able to read........until......now.

Now I'm totally fascinated by books about the Kabbalah.....it's the most amazing and intriguing subject I've ever encountered (and I'm not even Jewish!)

It explains the mechanics of Creation, why life is the way it is, why we are the way we are, how we came into being and why, etc. It's not a religion by any means...it's actually quite scientific.

If I've aroused your curiosity on the subject, it's very easy to learn more about it by going to the Kabbalah website.... www.Kabbalah.com

The book I'm reading (and Loving!) now is called "The Power of Kabbalah" by Yehuda Berg.....it's very well-written and easy to read and understand....I highly recommend it! :O

Hugs,
Zos

You got it boss, :aok: I'm on vacation too, I'll have plenty of time to catch up with the selections. BTW, did you get my message about the two or three little ideas I had?

Zosy, hang on a minute, I have a project that might interest you a lot. I love reading books like the ones you described, so give me a couple of days to collect my thoughts and tell you what this is all about. {{{HUGS}}}

Hi, gang. I'm baaack. Actually, we didn't go. Decided that we might have to paddle back three hundred or so miles. It has finally stopped raining here...I'm so thankful for the sunshine. I was really feeling light deprived.

Morgaine, I did finally get a big red roun'tuit and applied it to my pm's. It looks like a couple of your ideas have been implemented, and I'll pm you about the others. The basic ideas are really good.

Well, too bad you didn't get to go, for my part, I was on vacation but since Hubby started working we didn't go anywhere. He sarted working after eight years of being a full time dad. pretty interesting story there :lol

This week I've been trapped in my new RL, It's been not so good. I get to do many things that Gilbert used to do with the kids and I'm not familiar with the 'mommy' mode. :lol HELP!!!

Hey, MOrgaine...what Zos said. You'll slip back into "mommy mode" soon enough. Not saying it's easy...nothing worthwhile ever is, but you will get it right.

Sorry I haven't been present much the past few days. I have an awful cold, with a really bad cough, so I'm still taking it easy. I have been reading though. I'll post the title in the "Not Yet Featured" thread.

Have a great weekend.
