Quest for Witchblade renewed!

Hello all I'm new here but I'm on a quest to pass the word to all fellow Witchblade fans Male or Female. The new network TNN formaly Spike TV has opened a chance for those who wish to go to there site www.thenewtnn.com/home/comments here you can vote for what programming you would like to see on their new network and why.

I have been passing the word were ever I can. This is a new station looking for shows others will follow Witchblade is that show. If we can get enough votes they will pick up the shows two seasons and a chance for a third with the ratings beating at their door. I told them of the We Want A Third Season Of Witchblade petition and the now 14,714 and still growing site. I have also posted there for those who read the signature page. If we can get this kind of votes at the TNN site the will leap at the chance to get a show that's been off the air for a year or more with no reruns that still has a fan base behind it like this.

Well, I said I wanted Witchblade but a number of the others, guys, wanted women, cars, women, explosions, women and more women. I'm not sure Witchblade can compete with that. :lol

What are you kidding!! Witchblade has All That and with a Third season maybe more! Gang what everyone neeeds to understand is execs are all about the bottom line, I must admit I can't see at all what happened with TNT stopping a hit show before it even has enough ep's to get syndicated and can be sold to other stations like they have for a line up is just insane!

However when TNN's Spike TV gets over run with votes for a show as Strong as Witchblade with a fan base clawing at getting it back it has a very good chance of being picked up, but WE NEED YOU AND YOU AND YOU!!! Don’t just view the post Vote :grr:

Even if you all think it's a snowball chance in hell :ewink: it still won't hurt to voice your view and wish to see a great series that deserves the chance and if we are fans than any chance is a chance. So let's again show TNT were they can stick it :finger: and vote for TNN to pick up the show. If it doesn't the at least we will have gotten some blood pumping for the cause and may have motivated someone who does know the right one to talk to and just needed to know hay they do really want this!

So we know the interest is there we just got to put it to work people so let's do it as a team. Spread the word and Vote!

:lol Whoa, there. I signed the petition pretty soon as it was up, but that was a while back. I'd like to have Witchblade on DVD, too. I know a couple people who went to the Con and enjoyed meeting as many of the cast members who could make it.

There are a number of people on the board who loved Witchblade, that's why there is a forum for it and it hasn't been taken down. Thanks for posting about the renewed interest in getting the show back on TNN.

So gang let's ride :vroom: into battle no more of this whining about TNN line up this will neither kill you or hurt you to vote. With the vote this could be one more chance than you hade before with nothing!:pissed: If they can have CSI, Next Gen, and Highlander then Witchblade can have a place as well so come on.

Sorry all but you have to understand we, as Witchblade fans have been beat into this submissive defensive position. The petition for a third season Witchblade is going great already it has gone from 14,693 were I posted for other to go to TNN and vote to now being 14,926!

However, this is a passive move than will impress but we need to put that kind of fan love to real work. So join us like in other Witchblade fan sites and don’t just view the post or give another excuse for not trying even if it's a small chance fight like you life depended on it. This truly could be a chance to give TNT the :frellyou: and get Witchblade a home whither it's on Oxygen or Spike TV the fight is on let's go down with a fight! :jedi: Not a whimper and another excuse to do nothing :ehsign:

The fight for Witchblade continues but only together with as much support as possible. This can only work if others join in and let all know as Dutch and Giselle14 has. Right now the petition for a third season has come to life. It has jumped from 14,854 to 15,028 in just a few days. Also it would seem someone there read my earlier post to vote at TNN and reposted it for others as well and that's what we need TEAM WORK! :aok:

i appreciate your enthusiasm for Witchblade, but back off a bit. as Dutch already stated, this forum exists because Witchblade has fans here. keeping us updated on progress is good, browbeating us isn't.

as to your comments above, personally, i haven't been beaten into anything, positive or negative. the show was cancelled, and it was for monetary reasons that to a degree were genuinely outside the control of the network. if i choose to sign the petition that's my business and i don't need to post it here for your approval to be considered a fan, or to have done my part. also, a great many people on this board are not active posters, which doesn't mean they aren't active.

as to Witchblade, there is the practical matter that may prevent a third season, and certainly strongly impacted the decision to cancel the show in the first place. however right or wrong, once Yancy's self-admissal for alcohol treatment was made public, the insurance companies found out. the production costs would then skyrocket, disproportionate to returns, based on the potential for Yancy's illness to hamper production. most television shows, if not all, are deficit funded and won't see a profit for a while, so the insurance hike would be a significant determining factor.

that said, it doesn't mean that Witchblade doesn't have a chance, but fans need to be realistically aware of the facts that influence decisions. from being involved in another fandom project, you may want to consider snail mail. it has a weightier effect than online petitions do.

Again Waltersgirl my intention was a sound one of the uninformed from what you have told me. For this was merely a whora at best not an attempt to sham or browbeat someone into doing or saying anything. I've had great response from many sites I've had none from some. However where I've shown my enthusiasm I usually get a response in favor for a cause worth looking into. This is truly just a team effort to get Witchblade back on the air there is now glory in it for me and nothing but hours lost time passing the word to so many, many different sites both blade related and not. So if I seem loud it’s only so others who may have just looked and passed on may say what the hell why not. Plus you guys have the best emoticons I couldn’t help myself! As for asking that they may post it’s not so I feel big it’s so others may feel what, so and so responded! Maybe this is worth looking into this is how we are. So few want to be first but most will join a crowed and that is my logic behind my asking others to be seen and heard

I again I thanked Dutch and Giselle14 for their views and support also you will see from my post with Dutch it was merely a health debate as to the merits of having a show like Witchblade on TNN so please don't take that wrongly for it pains me to be thought of as being self-servant or arrogant. I also must say maybe it was his past fame from Cheers that may have given him a get out of jail card with the networks but if NBC can put up with the years of Kelsey Grammer’s car flipping women problems and several rehabs plus pay for his series and his salary you would think so could TNT for even though she did go into rehab the season from what we could see didn’t slow down or was it hurt. The show really ended on a high note where we all felt there would be more! That was a season opener not a season ender. You could say it opened more doors to be explored and it was slammed in our face. Forgive me again all here who may feel as Waltersgirl has it wasn’t my intent. Sorry for my long-winded explanation as well I just hate to be misunderstood. I'm just out on point scouting before the the rest come through.

the most annoying thing about television is that you can't compare show A to show B as logic to support your position that your show should be on the air if X show is still on. your example also illustrates another important point. TNN, or TNT isn't NBC. their budget is different, their funding is different, they aren't cable channels. whole 'nuther ballgame. don't give up hope though. we're the consumers and our voices deserve to be heard.

The petition is doing very well also. It's now 15,044 and growing daily plus one of the others from one of the sites I've been to also said in Canada I believe August 8th they are going to start showing Witchblade at the Drive in Theater for fans to see.

It would seem even though we may not get a third season simply because the Witchblade crew may have moved on the fans are still fighting for the right to have that chance just the same. The petition for a third season of Witchblade has grown to 15,280! All that love for a canceled show they don't even show in reruns or on DVD!

Well of course there's the Canada premier at the Drive-Inn that has fulled the fire but I just how many of us can just hop in our cars and head on over to Canada for such a grand event? Well If I could I would because not sinse Star Trek has such a thing happened! Well it would seem a new rumor as surfaced that Spike TV may yet be picking up Witchblade! So the old quest is new yet again! So to any or all who have loved the adventures of Sara Pezzini and the power of the Witchblade. When I first heard Cormac¹s music it just really struck a chord. It was soulful and melodic and I immediately responded to it on a basic emotional level. But what¹s even cooler is that his music grows on you the more you listen to it.
