"High Energy" is the first book of a planned series by romance writer, Dara Joy.

FROM THE BACK COVER:
Physics. Zanita Masterson knew nothing about the subject, and cared little to learn --- until a reporting job led her to one Tyberius Augustus Evans. The rogue scientist was six feet of piercing blue eyes, rock-hard muscles and maverick ideas, and the notion that he was seriously interested in her seemed insane. But a night of monster movies, cookie-dough ice cream and wild love was almost enough to convince Zanita that the passion-minded professor was determined to woo her --- with his own masterful equation for sizzling ecstasy and...High Energy.

My Favorite Author is Dara Joy. Nobody writes like her. At least in my opinion. She has a wonderful way with humor and can easily get into the readers mind and just let you fly. This book, and the next in this series, "High Intensity" I believe will somehow, at some point, connect with her other series, "The Matrix of Destiny".

Zanita Masterson is out to prove herself a darn good reporter. She heads to the local college to uncover a "psychic" scam and the leader a charlatan. Problem is she can't spell and ends up in a "physics" lecture run by the formidable Physicist, Tyber. He quicky realizes she is the perfect example of chaos and sets out to make her his "girlfriend". He does this by convincing her he can help her with her story. Tyber invites Zanita to an end of summer swim party at his home. Ringing the bell at the gate, she is surprised to hear from the intercom, "Blast and Damnation! Who be ye? Friend or foe? Speak up, I say, or I'll blast ye where ye stand!" That is Blooney. Aurthor Bloomberg to be exact. Physicist who has bats in his belfry. Physicist who thinks he is now on a Pirate Ship and Tyber is the Captain. He is a superb cook. Does wonderful things with squash. Much to Tyber's dismay. On Tyber's property is a wonderful Topiary of a Wizard, called "Yaniff". Bloony makes wonderful chocolate things from the "Sentinal's of Rejar" cookbook and Tyber's eye's "spark". There is your connection to the "Matrix". Soon Zanita realizes there are no other guests invited to the party. She thinks Tyber is a "kook". He thinks she is totally non linear. Let the games begin....
