To the cast and crew of Farscape,

I first found out about the cancellation in an email from a fellow 'Scaper. I couldn't believe it. I read the transcript of the chat with tears flowing from my eyes. I have been a follower of Moya and crew from the very beginning. I counted the weeks until the newest episodes would begin. It is my favorite show and the only "must-see" tv show on my list. I will miss it greatly when it is over.

But, I hold out hope that it isn't really over. I have sent my faxes, emails and letters. I hope that someone will see the folly in this cancellation and give us one more season. Or that the show gets picked up by some other network.

If all else fails, please find some way to get out the rest of the story. Paperbacks, cartoons, comic books.... Wherever Moya goes, we will follow.

Thanks for putting together such a terrific television show.

Oh my goodness

The feeling that hit me when I was first made aware that Farscape was to be cancelled... is indescribable.

Just a couple weeks ago, I watched the ending of this last season - which left John floating in space above Earth. I SO love this show, my friends can tell you they STILL have not heard the end of my anxiousness for the next season to go on.

Four seasons just ISN'T enough. And to think of cancelling it with a cliffhanger? Are they serious? Wow. There IS a conspiracy to drive millions of people crazy, isn't there? *wry grin*

I just wanted to made my voice heard here in support of everyone right now. The cast and crew. And even the fans that read here. I really hope the outpouring I'm seeing [though I was only made aware of the cancellation about 15 minutes ago] really goes a long way and gets us a continuation on Farscape.

It is, by far, the BEST science fiction series I have EVER in my life seen. Best Ever!!! No show has ever managed to capture my imagination the way this one has. No show I've ever watched has kept me on the edge of my seat, brought me to tears, and held me in thrall the way that Farscape has over the past few seasons.

My thoughts are with everyone in this effort. It would be a sad sad thing to lose something so great in the land of television.

And I have to agree with other comments before : "You had us at hello."

Best wishes,
With hope,
Jenna

THANK YOU

I just want to say a giant thank you to the cast and crew. Farscape is truly the best show ever. I will do everything that I can to get Farscape back into production, but if we fail...then I will never forget how you all gave a part of yourselves to entertain us. Thank you for sharing your gifts, your friendships and your grace; you have kept us sane when what we really want to do is scream at the top of our lungs. We love each and every one of you and will support any acting/writing efforts that you take part in.

For Ms. Black and Ms. Edgley in particular, thank you for showing the world that women can be tough and sexy too.

For Mr. Browder, Mr. Simcoe, and Mr. Pygram, brillance does not go unrecognized for long.

For Mr. Kemper and Mr. O'Bannon, thank you for giving us the courage to pursue our dreams.

Best of luck to all of you.

First of all I want to thank you all for giving us such a wonderful show which was different from other SciFi shows. It was more mature and more fun to watch.

It has given me great pleasure for the last two years (finally catching up on Season One), both in the acting as in the storylines. I must admit that it was Lani's voice as Crais which got me hooked on the whole show and I'm glad I did.

Here in Holland we haven't seen Season 4 yet, since the BBC still has to air it and I was/am quite looking forward to it.

I was dismayed and shocked to learn on the Cohort's board that the show was to be cancelled and that there wouldn't be a Season 5. I was angered that the Cast and Crew were given so short notice. And I'm sad that we might not see the characters we love so much in new episodes anymore.

Like all the others fans all over the world I will try and do my best to help get the show back and hope that the people with the powers to do so will reconsider and give us more Farscape.

Whatever the outcome, I hope that all of the Cast and Crew will find success and fortune in all all you endeavour to do and I wish you strength in these difficult times.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the production of Farscape, one of the most innovative and intelligent SF programmes that has been produced.

I am dismayed by SciFi's decision to cancel the show and believe that they're making a major error of judgement in the short-term which will come back to haunt them in the long-term.

Loosing Farscape

It's Tuesday afternoon where I sit and I have just found out that SciFi Channel has definately canceled the fifth season for Farscape. First of all I don't want to believe this is the final word on this. I have to hope that SciFi Channel comes to thier senses and realizes that Farscape is fundamental to what the SciFi Channel is and should be. SciFi Ch. has always been a great idea but in the beginning they really had a problem in finding thier direction. It wasn't until they joined up with Farscape that they really became a true scifi channel.

Farscape is at the heart of what makes the SciFi Channel the unique experience it has become. Shows like Farscape, Lex, and SG-1 are what I am looking for when I tune in. If I wanted Crossing Over I would be watching Lifetime. SciFi Channel has to walk the walk if they want to talk the talk. At some point they have to accept the fact that they can't cateer to the common denominator and still be a SciFi experience. This doesn't mean that they can't have a large audience. By showing a commitment to the genre they will also find a commitment from the fans.

Of course that can burn both ways and by not supporting the great shows out there like Farscape they could quickly become the SciFi Channel that isn't about SciFi. SciFi fans are the most loyal fans there are but they demand loyalty in return.

Cancelling Farscape now while it is at it's creative peak just doesn't make sense. The show is better now than it has ever been. This is not a show whos sun is setting but rather a show that has just gotten it's second wind and is more entertaining than ever. I have many friends that have just finally settled in as fans of the show and this is despite the constant switching of air times.

Now I don't mean to say that the show was ever less than entertaining but it feels to me as though it has recently matured to the point where everyone is at the top of thier game. Actors, writers, directors and producers are all in tune with one another and are enjoying thier craft. I was really looking forward to this new fifth season.

To the cast and crew of Farscape I would like to express my sincere appreciation for being allowed to make the journey with you for the past four years. It has been a lot of fun and I hope that somehow we are all able to travel together again sometime soon. Thanks guys.

I just wanted to let all the cast and crew know how much the show and all of you have meant to me over the last four years. While I hope the SCI FI Channel will come to its senses and renew the show or some other network will pick it up, if not thank you for four years of great science fiction television. Farscape took sf television where it hadn't been before: into a gritty, nasty world where people didn't necessary like each other, rarely seemed to have enough to eat, couldn't stay out of trouble, but somehow became a family. This is a far cry from the antiseptic, conflict-free world of Star Trek which we're going to be left with. I'm missing Crichton, D'Argo, Rygel, Aeryn, and the rest of the gang already.

What makes Farscape so special to me are the characters and the relationships between them. So much of that is the acting and the writing, so much of the credit for the show has to go to the actors and writers, and the other creative folks. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to these folks especially for all the enjoyment you've given me over the last four years. Aeryn and John's relationship, frustrating as it is at times, has kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to see what happens next. Scorpius' fascinating behavior towards John this season has me intrigued and I can't wait to see what he's up to. Dargo and Chiana's relationship and its breakup was masterfully played by Gigi Edgley and Anthony Simcoe. Thanks again for such great work.

I also want to thank all the production designers, costumers, makeup artists, and other designers. Farscape is an incredibly beautiful, elegant, and sometimes terrifying show thanks to your outstanding work. One of the things that drew me to the show in the first place was the way Chiana and Zhaan looked. Their makeup, hair, and costume were just mind-boggling. Characters in Farscape truly look alien, not like some other sf shows I've could mention (a-hem!). The sets, backdrops, and props are intricate and original and much better than most movies with many times the budget. Please know that your exceptional work is seen and appreciated. At least once per episode something new catches my attention and makes me go "ooh, that's really neat!" while I never stop marvelling at Moya.

Rest assured that none of us are going to forgive or forget what the SCI FI Channel has done. They took the show that gave them their reputation and treated it like dirt. At least they could have been honest about it and said it was a money issue. They seem to think we will watch whatever cheap junk they throw up there on Friday nights. They will find out that's not the case. We won't forget the shoddy way they treated both you and us, and won't go back to being passive viewers of whatever they want to replace Farscape with. Farscape isn't replaceable.

Thanks again for four years of magic and wonder.

Best Wishes

Janet Tait

I feel like I'm going to be losing wonderful friends. Pilot crated up and warehoused somewhere? That's just so wrong.

I'm writing, I'm telling my friends to write. It doesn't feel like enough.

I cannot echo the sentiments I've read on this board enough. Farscape has become such an amazingly, wonderfully important part of my life that the thought of losing it under such circumstances is very difficult to bear. But like everyone else here, I have no intention of letting go of it without a fight.
It is an absolute joy to watch people who have a true passion for what they do in life, & to know that they have found their true calling. I see it in every episode of Farscape I watch, & I really feel that the passions of those onscreen is matched by those offscreen.
To the entire cast & crew of Farscape...thank you for 4 wonderful years. And I'll thank you again after the 5th wonderful year. And after a fantastic movie. And after a great anime series. And...ad infinitum.

To the cast members of FarScape,

I absolutly adore all of you and your wonderful show. I hope all of us crazy fans can get The SciFi channel to see the light. If not it's their loss and we can find a new home on some other network for you guys.

Thankyou farscape crew and everyone who helped to create such a wonderful show! My heart goes out to you all. It it once in a blue moon when something good actually shows on tv. Fot those sixty minutes we were all warped into something that was real to us, and know doubt we will take that with us, and keep thinking of it till it explodes our small heads. What other show does that?! The one show i looked forward to watching flushed down the toilet. Now back to flipping through the channels a hundred times to find something good. OHH Frell and Frell and Frell, might as well view a box. Sci fi wont be the same again!!

Blessings,

Thank you to all the cast and crew

You guys are incredible. It's hard to imagine that such a powerful and brilliant show should even be being discussed as on the chopping block. This is the best show on TV, bar none.

Anyway, everyone else has said so much, all I want to add is that we love you all and it *will* work out, you can rest assured that we won't let this end now.

Please tell me what is wrong with SCI-FI. This is the second show they have cancelled that is a really great show. They had an awesome Friday night line up and they keep messing with it. What is their Frelling problem. I have been watching FarScape since the Pilot episode, I love all the characters and the plot line is just awesome. The writers are doing a really great job and the directors are creating some really awesome episodes.

All of the actors are fantastic, I do miss Virginia Hey and Lani Tupu. You guys were great.

Lani - nice job with Pilot. I miss you as Crase.

Virginia - I miss my favorite blue alien. Thank you for everything...You made ICON Great!!!!

Anthony Simcoe - I just love D'Argo!!!! Go Here: http://goldendragonslair.rubberslug....p?ItemID=13931
Trust me!! You will love it... I just love this scene so much!!! :

Brian Henson - I love the Puppets.

To all the Puppeteers - Nicely done....You guys are great in bringing Rygel to life. Hats off to ya.

We Love all Of you!!!!

Last year I went to the Farscape Convention in NY (I live on Long Island) right before Sept. 11th. All of you were great!!! Ben and Claudia, you guys were awesome!! Thanks alot Ben for signing all the autographs I know we all appreciated the extra time you spent with us.
David Kemper - You were awesome, too. Please use some of that emthusiam you had at the convention to stop Sci-Fi from cancelling the show. :

All I have left to say is they better not cancel this show, it is my favorite show and I have been waiting patiently for 5th season. Besides 4th season was a cliff hanger and I am really going to hate not knowing what happens. I only really following a few shows on TV and this is my #1 show. I am going to be Frelling mad if they cancel the show.

Guys, what can I say? When I read on SCI-FI Wire yesterday morning that the show was being cancelled I was absolutely gutted. I'm still not sure I've processed it.

I am not a great fan of tv Science Fiction - more a book guy myself - but Farscape had restored my faith in the ability of television to produce exciting, original, sexy science fiction.

I sincerely hope that somehow or other the show can continue. The cast and crew have been tremendous. I have been consistently impressed by the enthusiasm that everyone has shown for the show whenever I have seen interviews (Anthony's interview in the recent DVD release in the UK had my wife and I in absolute hysterics!). I am sure you must be as gutted as we are.

All I can say is good luck for the future. Hopefully you'll be back. If not I hope everyone had a bloody good boost to their careers from their association with the show. It's the least you deserve.

Just to make a couple of comments (it's horrible to single people out but...):
Ben - thanks for giving us a hero that we can believe in.
Claudia - for being smart, tough & sexy and yet still a grown-up!
Anthony - for bringing D'Argo alive as a character when he could so easily have been a stock 'warrior alien' cliche.

To all the other cast, writers and directors - for giving us a series that is weird, dark, funny, scary, and just great, great fun.

Best wishes,
Chris

We are doing everything that we can

To DK, Ben, and all of the cast and crew:
For years you have given us incredible stories to listen to, wonderful characters to relate to, and have opened our eyes to a new type of science-fiction. Now there are people who want to take away all that you have accomplished, and we, both as fans and friends, will not stand for it. We will continue to fight this injustice as long as we can, and if all else fails, I'll even try to help finance the show myself. It won't be much, but every little bit helps. Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the good times that are sure to come in the future.
Sincerely,
Lord Owen
