All are Wonderful, but Darkscape
those are drop dead gorgeous. Hmm...wonder what an ad of that "This isn't your father's Sci-Fi" would cost in Woman's World.
But you know - I know this sounds crazy, but just think of how many people read the National Enquirer or the Globe. Slap me if that is a stupid idea, but they have a huge readership!!! Jackie ![]() |

Can I make a request?
I am not artistically talented, writing is more my niche, so I'll be doing a lot of that, but if anyone can make a John poster with him in his astronaut uniform, and maybe have a wormhole, or Moya or SOMETHING in the background that says at the bottom "Look upward and share the wonders I've seen" I'll love you forever! I know it's a sci-fi poster, and not really geared towards women, but I want one
And besides, some woman might see it and decide to watch because Ben Browder is very good looking, in my opinion. Okay, maybe I'm just stretching this a little far and trying to justify why I want the poster.... ![]() |

Designer request
I am not a designer -- in fact, I'm [b]terrible[\b] at it. But there's a discussion in the "Banner Ad idea-Use Nielsen to our advantage " thread that sounds interesting -- continue using the internet to our advantage by renting internet banner ads.
But they'd have to look good, and be compelling. Can anyone here design a banner-sized ad (maybe one that could fit at the top of slashdot, or some other geek or scifi-based site?) ~Overdrive |

I'm so impressed with everyone's work. You all are excellent people to have on board, whether you can design, give ideas or merely cheer on those who can. Thanks and keep on keepin' on!

Here is my relatively simple contribution. It's nowhere in the league of the others (especially that awesome one by mark in the topic-starter) but hey it's something right?? I can do better, and will when I get a lot of free time soon

Hello everyone
I've been in the graphic and printing buisness for 30 years. Just wanted to say that I hope Sci Fi doesn't try to give us a hard time. Hard time as in, sueing for using copyrighted photos. My company had a run-in with Disney. They protect their brand name, and art with a vengence. Coming from Chicago, we've also had to be careful when using the Chicago Cubs logo. Also, having a website for an actor, I am aware of many sites threatened to be sued if the site uses copywrited photos. I have a disclaimer on my site, saying that the site is strickly for the viewing of the fans, and is not intended to be copied or sold. BUT! They can't touch original artwork!!! Like say using Corel Draw, or a graphic program to create cyber art. I'm working on this, as well as animated gifs for the sites. If Original photos are used, I suggest that they are not sold to the public. Of course giving them away to a friend is not a bad thing. Gosh, oh gee. I sure have alot of friends I could give the T-shirt and posters away to. Get it??? (Am I a stinker or what?) Keep the faith, and keep in touch Last edited by pilotsmanacurist : 09-20-2002 at 12:38 PM. |
